Our story

Located in the center of Guimarães, under a palatial building dating from 1827, this is the birth of a space that combines history, culture and a great passion. Founded by João Sousa, the Conquistador Palace is the result of his experiences as a tennis player and his connection to the city of Guimarães. Barcelona

Considered by many to be one of the world's tennis capitals, Barcelona occupies a very special place in João Sousa's heart and career. After all, at just 15 years old, he decided to emigrate to this city on his own with the aim and dream of becoming a professional tennis player. This room takes us back to his early years as a young tennis player.

Shanghai

It belongs to the ATP1000 tournaments in world tennis and is the only one of its kind held on Chinese soil. We're talking about the Rolex Shanghai Masters, the tournament that inspired the creation of this room. It was in Shanghai that João Sousa's best record was reaching the second round in 2018 and 2019.

Toronto

Communicating with Madrid room

Along with Montreal, Toronto hosts the Rogers Cup, a tournament held every August. João Sousa has played in the main draw four times and continues to work towards the podium. A room with a privileged view of the city and with the option of direct access to the Madrid room.

The prestigious American city where the US Open is held, one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, gives its name to this quarter. Here, João Sousa has played in the main draw eight times, with his best result coming in the fourth round in 2018 against the Serb Novak Djokovic.
